Athletes Foot

Athletes' foot is an epidermal fungal infection of the feet.

One of the main symptoms of Athletes' feet is itchy white patches between the toes. It can also cause sore and flaky patches of skin on your feet. The skin may also appear red, crack and bleed.

It can also affect the soles or sides of your feet. If it is not treated the fungal infection can spread into your toenails causing a fungal nail infection.

Treatment cost: £35.

Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails (known as onychocryposis) occur when the sharp edge of the nail grows into the side of the soft tissue of the toe. Ingrown Toenails are painful, the skin on the side of the nail turns red and begins to swell.

Ingrown toenails normally occur on either side of the big toe, however other toes can also be affected.

If ingrown toenails are not treated they can become infected.

This will result in a fever, pus coming out of the infected toe, requiring a visit to the General Practitioner for antibiotics.

Cost of treatment: £35.
